PROJECTS
BILL MYERS BACKPACK

Our Backpack Program currently feeds snacks and easily prepared meals to 140 children a week. These are for children that may recieve free or reduced lunch and may not otherwise have nutritional sources over the weekend. Referrals come from schools and Boys & Girls Clubs.
GARDEN

We currently have 3 raised beds that are planned for projects each season. Our garden beds are community gardens as well as educational. Children from the Boys & Girls Clubs learn about herbs, composting and teamwork while planting and working together. We hope to encourage others to enjoy fresh, healthy eating and the love of gardening.
LITERACY & BOOKSWAP

We believe in promoting literacy and that everyone should be able to peruse a bookshelf and pluck out a wonderful book to take home! We ask that clients bring in a book to trade or donate their used books to keep our shelves circulating. We have an area just for children and they love choosing books. We also have books of every genre.
FOOD DRIVE
Holding a food drive is a way that any individual, group or organization can get involved and raise awareness and also collect food for our food pantry or Backpack Program. Food Drives are essential for us because they help us keep costs down by not having to actually purchase as much food. Some months we give out as much as 3,000 pounds!
CHRISTMAS MEALS

Our Sr.Citizens are the recipients of our annual Christmas Meals Program. We package everything it takes to make a wonderful Christmas dinner, complete with cranberry sauce and dessert! We even tuck in a homeade card! Many are "home bound" and meals are delivered.
DONATIONS

EVERY item counts!Although we sell items in the thrift store for a nominal price,we also give away clothing, shoes, beds, furniture, housewares, baby items, and much more! We share our items with all agencies & churches to meet the needs of the community in combatting hunger and homelessness.
